STAY AND TRAIN
Dedicated to the puppies or unruly teenagers. The Stay and Train is similar to a board and train, but your puppy stays with you. The early days are the best time to bond with your new puppy and establish boundaries and key roles in your new family dynamic. Your puppy and I will work together for 1 hour 3-5 days a week, taking the pressure off your busy schedule. My expectation with a Stay and Train is for your dog to have a good understanding of all safety commands and reliable emotional stability. Having patience at doorways, keeping a loose leash, waiting patiently for their food, polite greetings with humans and other dogs, etc. If you want your dog to succeed, it is important to be consistent and practice with your dog every single day.
Things to keep in mind:
*No dog learns at the same speed.
*Dogs are emotional just like us and may have off days.
*Results are dependent on owner engagement and upkeep.
Trainer Expectations
*Recommended 2 months for stay and train, 3-5 days per week dependent on behaviors needing attention and owner involvement outside of training sessions.
*The time of day for training is determined by Trainer's schedule.
*Trainer will need access to the home.
*Owners are not involved/present during training sessions.
*Filming the session is encouraged. Trainer will provide small videos of each session if owner prefers.
*Field trips are part of training so it could be longer than an hour on these days.
*Playdates can be set-up if permissible and vaccines are up to date.
*One Private Session per week is included so owners can show they are keeping up with the training and understand everything the trainer is doing.
*Play and treats are used for training allowing dogs to be themselves and to have fun while learning.
STAY AND TRAIN VS PRIVATE LESSON
Private lessons are my most popular training option. We meet once a week or every other week to give you ample time to practice with your pup! If you are wanting to do most of the training yourself this is the best option for you.
Stay and Trains are one on one with myself and your dog. The sessions are frequent ranging from 3-5 days a week and are more intensive. This package is geared towards new puppies or getting through the teenage phase, but can also be used for other behavioral issues as well. This package is for the dog lovers who may not have enough time to keep up with the training on their own and/or may want quicker results.
CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING POLICY
Please keep in mind that this is a small business and I rely on my clients to uphold their end of the agreement. Dedication to your dog and trainer is important for the training to work. If you are showing lack of care or dedication, I may choose to terminate all training.
Cancellations/Rescheduling must be greater than 24 hours prior to your session. You will be refunded 50% of the session price for any requests less than 24 hours prior to the session. No more than 2 cancellations per package will be allowed. If there are more than two cancellations, it can result in termination of training with a 50% refund of the remaining sessions in the package.
All packages must be used within 6 months of the package purchase. There is no refund for unused sessions.
